Callender Family

This page of STEVEBIZ.COM  is dedicated to the Callender family, in particular my branch of the Callender family.  My paternal ancestor James Callander came from Callander,  a town in Perthshire Scotland and landed in Barbados, West Indies in 1630s.  James was descended from David of Callander in 1138.  James Swinton-Callander wrote a book, "The Swintons of That ILK and The Callanders of That ILK".  James writes in great detail about both families.   I wrote a book on my family, "The Callenders From Barbados to America and In Between".  You will notice that there are two spellings in my name Callender / Callander.  I explained many details about the Callender family including their titles of nobility and personal stories that I know about.  Some of my relatives were not happy with the publication of this book!  If you would like to buy the book, please go to this link:  https://www.lulu.com/spotlight/scallender51
